A PASSION FOR GEOSCIENCES TO CHANGE THE WORLD
I grew up surrounded by breathtaking geology, kindling in me a desire to understand the world we live in. However, by 2050, over half of our world population will live in water stressed regions, stirring in me a desire to use whatever knowledge and skills I have and work with communities to find innovative solutions to Earth's pressing challenges (groundwater quality and quantity, energy resources, mineral resources and agriculture). I graduated from the Colorado School of Mines (Helluva Engineer!) as a Geophysical Engineer with a minor in Humanitarian Engineering & Summa Cum Laude honors. Now, I am currently finishing up my Masters degree at the University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'em!) under the supervision of Dr. Bayani Cardenas. As cliche as it sounds, through my work, I truly hope to serve the world and make it a better place.
